Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is Marana Aerospace Solutions different from other MROs?
A: We are a full life cycle MRO with a FAA 145 certificate. Our facility is the largest of its kind in the world, with 300 trained technicians and more than 1200 acres. We have more than 30 years of MRO excellence and have received numerous awards and certificates for excellence. We offer comprehensive services, including AOG/TDY services, line maintenance, component repair and Letter checks, expert painting, and long-term and short-term storage. Q: How can I get copies of Marana Aerospace Solutions certificates?
A: Please visit our Certifications and Awards page.
Q: What is the difference between Storage/Parking and a ‘bone yard?’
A: When an aircraft or engine is placed into a Storage Program it receives routine maintenance checks per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual or customized Maintenance Storage Program. This allows the operator to keep the aircraft on its OPS spec and can quickly prepare it for return to service. A ‘bone yard’ on the other hand is where aircraft are placed when they no longer will be flown and are either used for historical viewing or sent to reclamation.
Q: Why Arizona?
A: Unlike other areas of the United States that often experience hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes or high humidity, Marana, Arizona has excellent weather conditions year-round. Arizona’s geographical location is also convenient to all of North America, South America, Asia and Africa. Plus is provides some of the most advantageous laws for transfers of ownership.
